After some teething problems and delays, we can finally offer Plesk 11 for Ubuntu 12.04. This means that the fourth major distribution, alongside CentOS 6, Debian 6.0 and openSUSE 12.1, is now included in the installation system and can be used. The following installation options for vServers of the Virtual Server Cloud now result:
Standalone installations:
- CentOS 6 - 64 bit
- Debian Squeeze 6.0 - 64 bit
- openSUSE 12.1 - 64 bit
- Ubuntu 12.04 - 64 bit
- Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 - 64 bit
Installations with Plesk:
- CentOS 6 - 64 bit + Parallels Plesk 11
- Debian Squeeze 6.0 - 64 bit + Parallels Plesk 11
- openSUSE 12.1 - 64 Bit + Parallels Plesk 11
- Ubuntu 12.04 LTS - 64 bit + Parallels Plesk 11
- Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 - 64 bit + Parallels Plesk 11
OpenSUSE 12.2 is expected to be released in early September. As long as everything works as planned and we can access proper templates in a timely manner, we will be able to release at least openSUSE 12.2 for the Virtual Server Cloud without an admin tool at the end of September. We will of course keep you up to date in this regard.
